Story
I am taking part in a bike ride from Cork to Belfast on 7th-14th June 2023 and as part of this Challenge have teamed up with Action Cancer in an effort to raise some funds for their recently launched Skin Cancer Early Detection service..
This new service is delivered from two venues.
Action Cancer House at 20 Windsor Avenue Belfast and on board the Big Bus mobile unit which will travel to over 200 locations across Northern Ireland each year to deliver the service to rural areas throughout The Province.
So, any funds raised will be channeled towards this new service headed up by an old friend of mine Iona McCormick!
The cycle will cover over 400 miles, predominantly along the coast testing both man and machine in equal measures and any support will be greatly appreciated and will act as an incentive for me to keep pointing the bike North!
Below is the proposed itinerary...
Wednesday 7 June Travel to Cork
Thursday 8 June Cork to Dungarvan (64 miles)
Friday 9 June Dungarvan to Kilmore Quay (62 miles - 126)
Saturday 10 June Kilmore Quay to Arklow (54 miles - 180)
Sunday 11 June Arklow to Dublin (53 miles - 233)
Monday 12 June Dublin to Castlebellingham (64 miles - 297)
Tuesday 13 June Castlebellingham to Dundrum (59 miles - 356) via Carlingford ferry
Wednesday 14 June Dundrum to Belfast/Helens Bay (66 miles - 412)
Thank you for the support!
