Story
Could you help us improve the wellbeing of patients, staff and volunteers at Congleton War Memorial Hospital?
Congleton War Memorial Hospital is celebrating 100 years of service on 22nd May 2024 and the hospital remains an essential part of Congleton and we’re keen to celebrate its past, present and future.
You can say thank you to our incredible staff and volunteers who are going above and beyond, by donating towards our wellbeing appeal. Your generous donation will go towards installing comfortable seating and secluded rest spots, allowing hospital staff to relax and unwind close to nature during their breaks. Alongside this, we will be transforming clinical environments with calming murals and artwork.
We will be creating a new wellbeing garden to provide a welcoming, tranquil new green space for patients, staff and volunteers. The therapeutic benefits of outdoor exposure to natural light and gardens has been proven to enhance patient wellbeing and to reduce the distress and anxiety potentially caused by a stay in hospital.
The project will see the transformation of a currently unused outdoor space at Congleton War Memorial Hospital and will provide patients, visitors and staff with an outdoor environment which is safe and secure and designed to promote wellness and decrease stress. A space for staff to relax and unwind away from the pressures of the hospital.
We need your help to make a difference every day to the experience of patients, families and staff across hospitals and community services in East Cheshire. Together, let’s make our NHS extra special.
