Charities Together is about bringing together Irish charities so we can support them as one. We have started the #20in2020challenge where people can either donate 20 to a charity of their choice or they can take on a 20 themed challenge to fundraise for a charity to help them through 2020.

Concern is working with vulnerable communities to fight COVID-19 as the global pandemic presents an unprecedented challenge for countries all over the world. As the outbreak continues to spread, Concern teams have already mobilised in response to this global threat and are well-equipped to support those who are most vulnerable.

Given the impact of the disease on countries with strong health systems, COVID-19 poses an even larger threat to densely populated countries who are already struggling with the impact of conflict, climate and malnutrition. Concern's focus will be on maintaining its current lifesaving programmes, where possible, as well as playing its part in raising awareness of the tools that can be used to fight the spread of the infection. Concern is already involved in the distribution of hygiene kits in Iraq, building water points and engaging youth groups in soap production in Haiti, and working with the Ministry of Health in Bangladesh to increase COVID-19 preparedness.
