Karen Dias thought she had a simple ovarian cyst. Within six weeks of having it removed, doctors found a cancerous tumor weighing more than one pound. After a hysterectomy and a round of chemotherapy, doctors found another aggressive tumor. She had three more rounds of chemotherapy and multiple surgeries to remove tumors throughout her body, including five baseball-size tumors in her liver.

"If the Cancer Center didn't exist, I don't know how I would have received treatment," she said. "I spent six days a week at this facility, which is only 30 minutes from my house. We didn't have to travel or move our family to a place out of town to receive the best treatment."
