Community Walk Northeast Alabama is coming to Oxford, AL! We want you to join us! Walk in memory of a loved one; in honor of a loved one; or come make a new friend and walk and talk together!
Did you realize the average age for a 'diagnosis is 56? This is not just an old persons disease. In fact, our walk organizer was diagnosed at age 36 and is a pastors wife and mom of three homeschooled children!
Parkinson's has effected many in our community and we want to show our support for them and to let our community know that we care! All monies raised will go to the Parkinson's Foundation. Your support will help the Parkinson's Foundation advance research, provide educational resources, and fund programs that make life better for people living with Parkinson's disease. -SAFETY INFORMATION-
Our priority is to bring our community together while continuing to keep everyone safe. We are closely following all CDC and Calhoun County Health Department safety guidelines.
-REGISTRATION-
We ask that everyone who plans to attend Community Walk please register by clicking the 'START FUNDRAISING' button at the top of this page. There is no registration fee to participate, but a donation is very much appreciated.
-HOW TO PARTICIPATE-
Throw on comfortable clothes, lace up your exercise shoes and join us at Oxford Lakes Walking Track on November 6 @ 9 am to join the fun. Check the weather forecast to prepare accordingly. Should conditions warrant any change, we will announce it via this website.
-LOCATION & PARKING-
Community Walk Northeast Alabama will take place at Oxford Lakes Walking Track. Follow the balloons to the parking area. Limited, free parking will be available.
-EVENT SCHEDULE-

8:30 AM Registration Open
9:00 AM Opening Ceremony
9:15 AM Walk Starts
-WALK ROUTE-
Community Walk is for participants of all ages and abilities. The track is 0.67 miles long. 5 laps will be a little more than a 5K. We ask that each one walk what they are physically able to.
-RESTROOMS-
Restrooms will be available at the Playground.
-DONATIONS-
Cash and check donations will be accepted at the event. If you prefer to make a credit card donation, please click on the Donate button at the top of this website page. Please make checks out to the Parkinson's Foundation and mail them to:
