Mental Health Support – Help us to Support the Most Vulnerable.

Campaign by Compass Merseyside

Since 1978 Compass has provided accessible, professional, person-centred counselling across the Merseyside region: a community of volunteer counsellors, staff and trustees, shaped by everyone who uses, refers to, commissions and funds our services.

We are a Merseyside based mental health charity providing ethical and professional counselling for adults aged 18 and over. Our service is person-centred, offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where people can feel heard, valued and supported.

Story

For almost 50 years, Compass Counselling Services has been providing vital mental health support to people aged 18 and above, across Merseyside. As a charity, we believe that everyone should have access to professional, compassionate counselling, regardless of their financial circumstances.

People come to Compass for support with a wide range of challenges, including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, disordered eating, family and relationship issues, domestic violence, and substance misuse.

Our Community Counselling Service exists to make counselling accessible to those who need it most. Funded through donations and grants, our service enables people to access professional counselling through a small donation. No one is ever denied access if they cannot afford to make a donation.

Demand for our support has never been greater.

Referrals to our Community Counselling Service are at their highest levels to date. More people are reaching out for help at a time when they are struggling with their mental health. With a seasonal increase in referrals expected, we anticipate that our waiting list will grow even further.

Behind every referral is a person who may be experiencing distress, uncertainty or loneliness and who needs someone to listen and support them. We want to make sure that no one has to wait longer than necessary to receive that support.

That's why we're asking for your help.

We are raising funds to support an important waiting list initiative, helping us to reach people sooner and provide timely, professional counselling to those who need it.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us continue our work and make a meaningful difference to people's lives. Your generosity will help ensure that more people across Merseyside can access the support they need, when they need it most.

Compass has been supporting people on Merseyside since 1978. With your help, we can continue to be there for people facing some of life's most difficult challenges.

If you can donate, we would be incredibly grateful. If you're unable to give, sharing our fundraiser with friends, family and colleagues would be very much appreciated.

Together, we can help people feel heard, supported and less alone.

Thank you for supporting Compass Counselling Services and helping us make counselling accessible to everyone who needs it.
