Story
In July 2024 over 80 grocery colleagues from across the industry will be taking part in a three-day cycle challenge from the beautiful Georgian coastal town of Whitehaven to the seaside resort of Whitby, travelling over 362km and climbing over 4,852m in elevation. Riders will be putting their body to the test, physically and mentally, all with the aim of raising vital funds for their industry charity, GroceryAid.
More colleagues than ever are reaching out for support. In 2022/2023 we experienced a 44% increase in the number of incidents of support and 34,958 incidents of emotional and practical help alone. Meeting this increased demand is only made possible through your support.
Along the way, riders will cycle through three stunning National Parks, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, finishing with a climb of Rosedale Chimney. Other climbs will include Fleet Moss and Howardian Hills.

Good luck everyone!
The Coast to Coast Cycle is an exceptional event that is so well organised, which means you don’t need to think about anything other than cycling. It is a fantastic opportunity to raise vital funds and awareness of our industry charity whilst forming lifelong connections - Jonny McQuarrie, Chief Operating Officer, Booker and Coast to Coast Committee chair
