Story
Children's Mental Health Week is back and with your help, we can make the 2023 event the biggest yet. By getting involved, you can help us get closer to a future where every child has easy access to mental health support.
One in six children and young people have a diagnosable mental health problem, and many more struggle with challenges from bullying to bereavement. Teachers are also increasingly witnessing the effects of the cost of living crisis on students as they face trauma from housing evictions to food poverty. Half of the children and young people that Place2Be supports are on Free School Meals, compared to the national average of 22%. This means our work has never been more needed.
Thanks to the support of people like you, our dedicated frontline teams are there to guide school communities and families through difficult times.
We want to make fundraising as simple as possible for you, so we're asking you to Dress to Express. The idea is simple - use clothing and colour to express how you're feeling during Children's Mental Health Week and make a £2 donation to Place2Be. Your outfit can be as simple or as elaborate as you'd like!
The #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek Fundraising Pack has all the info you'll need about Dress to Express and how you can get involved in the week.
Thank you so much for getting involved in this year's Children's Mental Health Week, to spread the word and bring us closer to a future where no child has to face mental health problems alone.
