In February 2025, we will climb Kilimanjaro to support a local children's homes with which LNADJ has collaborated for many years: Feathers Tale Special Needs Home near Kilimanjaro and Angels Gate home for street-involved boys.
We are also climbing for The One Love Project in Uganda, The Tribe's community initiative that has provided education to children in Kabale, southwest Uganda, since 2017.
The altitude of Kilimanjaro is 5,895 meters (19,341 feet). As the highest freestanding mountain in the world, climbing Kilimanjaro presents a unique set of challenges, so our challengers are truly stepping up and out of their comfort zones to make a difference to the lives of others.
Feathers Tale Children's Village, Tanzania: LNADJ has worked with Feathers Tale for seven years, witnessing firsthand the impact of their life-changing projects. This organisation focuses on children with special needs and disabilities, supporting children, young people, and their families to create meaningful change.
LNADJ has contributed significantly to Feathers Tale by building homes, funding medical assistance, providing education, wheelchairs, specialised equipment, and toys. LNADJ will construct two-bedroom houses for single-parent women with special needs, creating a small village for families within Feathers Tale's grounds to ensure Feathers Tale can continue its vital work and grow to support even more families with special needs.
Angels Gate: The street-involved boys at Angels Gate have had challenging life experiences. LNADJ’s project Get Equipped is essential to their creative education and gives them choices outside of traditional educational formats - vital when you’ve had adverse life experiences and find school challenging. We’ll be raising funds to take even more music equipment out to the boys.
One Love Project, Uganda: One Love Project empowers vulnerable and impoverished children in East Africa by providing long-term opportunities, including quality education, medical care, talent development, and sustainability programs. They aim to help the most vulnerable children and people escape poverty and build a healthy, happy, and sustainable future for their families and communities.
For The One Love Project, donations will cover essential expenses such as teachers' salaries, specialised care at Our Little Tribe, and providing three meals a day for all 220 students. Additionally, donations will support the children's families by providing food and household items to help them maintain clean and healthy homes.
Thank you SO much for supporting LNADJ and The One Love Project.
We are so grateful for the donations we receive towards our project goals and carefully consider how we spend your money. When you dig deep for us, we know that it is because you want to show your appreciation, admiration, and support for the incredible young people we serve and because you want to help us fulfil our mission to change lives and save lives.
We never take a donation for granted, whether big or small.
We are blessed to have an incredible community of supporters like you behind us.
Thank you for stepping up to make a difference!
Big Love
