Story
Through a partnership with amazing climbing guide services Alpine Ascents International (AAI), International Mountain Guides (IMG) and North Cascades Mountain Guides, teams join together to raise funds for priority projects. Climbers and their colleagues, friends and families contribute to Washington's National Park Fund through the peer-to-peer fundraising platform, JustGiving. Climbers realize their dreams of climbing Washington's iconic mountains while giving back to the parks they're climbing in. In several cases, the companies they work for match their gifts.
More than $100,000 is raised annually, thanks to generous climbers from companies like REI, Microsoft, Two Beers Brewing, Amazon and from the community. Funds benefit priority park projects like search and rescue programs, the restoration of fishers (from the weasel family) in all three parks, the creation of an Emergency Operations Center in North Cascades Park and Understanding Shrinking Glaciers research at Olympic National Park.
Are you ready to Climb for a Cause? Teams will have the opportunity to climb Mount Rainier, Mount Shuksan or Mount Olympus guided by the incredible teams at AAI, IMG and North Cascades Mountain Guides in the summer of 2022.
