Story
The MACC Fund is proud to announce a partnership with Prayers From Maria in 2022 to launch The Cleveland Ringer on May 2nd at Westwood Country Club in Rocky River, Ohio! Prayers From Maria is dedicated to funding global research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for the deadliest childhood brain tumors known as gliomas; raising public awareness about gliomas and bringing hope to children and their families who deal with the hardships of this disease.
The name, The Ringer is symbolic of a child going through the unthinkable journey of battling cancer. Upon the completion of a successful childhood cancer or blood disorder treatment protocol, children are given the chance to physically RING THE BELL, a bell which hangs from cancer institutes across the country, to signify they have WON their battle. This monumental moment in a childs life was the inspiration for starting The Cleveland Ringer, a 100-holes of golf marathon to benefit the MACC Fund and Prayers From Maria.
In just four short years, the Wisconsin Ringer has raised $592,000 for childhood cancer and blood disorders research. Not only has the Wisconsin Ringer become a huge success, but last year the MACC Fund was also able to launch a second location in the Chicagoland area. The Chicagoland Ringer had fourteen participants raised $116,000, bringing the overall total to $708,000 raised since inception!
The MACC Fund has now partnered with Prayers From Maria and are looking to make a major impact once again! If you have questions about the 2022 Cleveland Ringer, please contact Michael Bielawski at mbielawski@maccfund.org.
