Story
Worldwide, there are over 800 million people who don't have access to safe drinking water. Infrastructure projects provide long-term solutions but don't provide disaster relief, and often don't go into conflict zones. That's where Aquabox comes in. We are emergency responders, aiming to get water filters to disaster zones as quickly as possible.
Aquabox volunteers assemble robust hand-pumped water filters, and send them to disaster zones and conflict zones all over the world so that people living in conditions of extreme deprivation can at least have access to clean, safe water for drinking, cooking and washing.
Without water, human life expectancy can be measured in just hours. Yet for millions of people around the world, the only available water is filthy and contaminated. Far from being the water of life, its the water of death.
When the COVID virus hits the refugee camps, our filters become even more in demand to provide clean water.
One Aquabox family filter costs just £25 to manufacture, yet it can produce up to half a million litres of clean, safe water. Try to visualise that much water imagine half a million litre bottles. Its hard to think of a better use of £25, isn't it?
You can help Aquabox to save lives by sponsoring just one family filter for £25.00
Thank you on behalf of all those desperate families who are currently having to drink and wash in contaminated water.
