Update as of October 2024
What are we fundraising for?
In the post lockdown environment, we’ve responded to our Community Survey by undertaking a comprehensive refurbishment programme to ensure that the Clarence Hall is able to host a full range of inclusive activities for individuals and groups of all ages.
We’re delighted with the results of phase 1 of the refurbishment which completed in Autumn 2024. This included: a new and upgraded kitchen; new toilet facilities; new disability access toilets; a baby change area; a small bar; and a new accessible entrance into the hall with access from the A40.
Why are we continuing to fundraise?
Maintaining a building like the Clarence Hall is an ongoing exercise! Our intention is to continue to fundraise to enable us to undertake a number of smaller projects which are related to the main refurbishment, including additional redecoration, further safety improvements and enhanced lighting.
Feedback from recent consultations with our key partners has also suggested that further upgrading the kitchen with more commercial appliances would support additional activities, including a seniors’ lunch club or Meals on Wheels service.
Our Supporters Splashboard, which reflects all donors, both on and offline, is published on the Supporters Page of our website.
