Citizens Options Unlimited has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and thanks to our staff members who continue to provide direct services to the men and women we support across our residential program throughout this health crisis.
Many of you have asked what can we do to help and how can we make a difference? Here's how you can support us during this time:
In speaking with our residential staff members, what means the most are meals that they do not have to prepare - as it allows for more direct supports and personal interactions as well as care-packages. These packages can include warm messages of support, activities, and items for the staff.
Families have been doing this on an individual basis, and with your help, we would like to expand this across all of our homes. By making a donation to this fund, you will be making it possible for our working staff members and people we support to enjoy unexpected acts of kindness and support.
Thank you for making meals happen! Last week, 9 community residences were able to take a night off from cooking and enjoy a meal from one of their favorite local restaurants. Over 118 meals were sponsored, your gift and notes of thanks mean so much to our staff members truly your donation is feeding the body and the soul.
This week, we are working on sending meals to 4 additional houses. A gift of $250 is able to sponsor an entire house. Thank you for joining with us as we get through this together.
