Help us support more people off the streets this winter
Winter is the most challenging time when you are sleeping rough. Every day, homeless people in London face freezing temperatures in the night and rainy cold days, whilst our capital is under lockdown.
Since the beginning of the year, we have noticed an increase in the number of people sleeping rough on the streets of London. We know that many of them have recently lost their jobs and homes because of the pandemic.
Sadly, when the pandemic happened, I lost my job and was unable to support myself. I was renting a room but couldnt afford the rent and had to leave. I had nowhere to go and no money so I ended up sleeping on the streets in May.
We all need a home to build a life and thrive and for many, the first step is an SHP winter shelter. We need your help to get people like Tomasz off the streets and back on their feet.
I am hopeful that when the hospitality sectors open up, Ill be able to get a job as a waiter or bartender and rent my own room again. These are challenging times for everyone but I feel positive that life will get better soon.
That's why we need your help. By taking part in The Circle Challenge, you will be virtually joining people from all across the Capital, coming together to support our work through this crisis.
What do you have to do?
From Joe Wicks to the Green Goddess to Barry's Bootcamp, we are all exercising at home at the moment! And we are challenging the public, our corporate supporters and their staff to put this time to even better use...
.We want you to walk, run or dance the length of the Circle Line to help us get people off the streets this Winter - either from the comfort of your own home or your daily exercise outside!
All 21.2 miles of it (or 427 minutes / 45,000 steps if you rather).
Don't worry, you don't need to do it all in one go! You can take on the challenge as part of a team, or split up the distance across a number of days.

NOTE: Please don't walk/run the real tube line currently - we'll do this once the lockdown is over. For now, please undertake any exercise close to or in your home, maintaining Government advice around social distancing.
