Circle the City goes virtual

In Malawi, women are struggling in the face of the climate crisis. Extreme weather is affecting crops; cyclones have destroyed homes, floods have washed away livestock. Join us this Harvest to raise money by taking part in Circle The City 2021.

Story

Circle The City is going virtual for 2021, with ten iconic London churches to explore virtually through our interactive map. Well also be sharing together with our fellow supporters in a time of worship hosted by St Mary-le-Bow via Zoom and a Climate Change Campaign Seminar hosted by our campaigns team via Zoom. There are resources to help you organise your own local walk, whether that be a leisure walk accompanied by our downloadable mp3 reflective audio guide, or a sponsored challenge walk using our sponsored walk top-tips guide. You can find all the information you need and sign up to take part via caid.org.uk/circle.

The money you donate, or raise through sponsorship, will go towards our Harvest Appeal, which this year is focusing on women In Malawi who are struggling in the face of the climate crisis. Extreme weather is affecting crops; cyclones have destroyed homes, floods have washed away livestock.

The climate crisis is pushing them deeper into poverty. In the aftermath of floods, they have lost nearly everything. Food is scarce and there is no money to educate their children. But people are uniting and changing their lives together. With your support, women are joining forces to change their lives and overcome poverty.
