The Cal Poly Humboldt Cinema Club is a space where students from all backgrounds and majors come together to watch, discuss, and engage with movies from around the world. Through weekly screenings and discussions, the club encourages media literacy and critical thinking. The diversity of stories and the information gleaned from discussions help students be more thoughtful, not just about the films they watch but also about their greater community.

The Cinema Club creates an inclusive space where students connect over a shared love of film, learn from one another, and amplify diverse voices. The club supports the QTBIPOC Film Coalition in putting on the QTBIPOC Film Festival every year, which showcases the creative work of queer, trans, and BIPOC student filmmakers.
