Santa is on summer vacation, so we need YOUR help in fulfilling the wishlist of 12 needed items at Cherish Uganda! Visit www.cherishuganda.org/cij-uk to view the full list of needed items.
Story
While Santa is sitting by the beach, soaking up the UV rays, we need your help to fulfill a wishlist of needed items at Cherish Uganda.
1) FIELD TRIPS! Donating £16 will allow a child to learn and explore outside of the classroom. (We need 32 donations of £16.)
2) BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS! Just £11will pay for a birthday celebration for a staff member.
3) SPORTS ATTIRE! A donation of £246 will give the gift of camaraderie - sports uniforms to unite the team.
4) SPORTS BALLS! We are in need of many futbols & volleyballs. The average ball costs £20, we need at least 20!
5) CLASSROOM SUPPLIES! We need puzzles, engaging games, and stretching mats for the foundations students in Cherish Life Skills. Help us improve our classroom supplies with a £53 donation/student.
6) PORTABLE SPEAKERS! We need 3 portable speakers that average at £123/speaker.
7) COMMUNITY SOCCER TOURNAMENT! The futbol field has become of our most natural places for outreach, loving on and communicating to the local villages. It would cost roughly £685 to put on a soccer tournament for the community.
8) PROJECTOR & SCREEN! Donate toward the goal of £819 to purchase a new projector and screen that can be used for Cherish Uganda's church/Vine time gatherings, movie nights, community events, and more!
9) MUSIC SET! The vision for the Equip program for young adults at Cherish Uganda is to equip students with tangible skills for securing a job after graduation. We would love to add a music branch to the skillsets we're teaching. Donate toward a music set (guitars, keyboard, piano, microphones, etc.) to help us reach our goal of £3,423 this July.
10) SMARTPHONES! We need at least 4 reliable smartphones with quality cameras for staff members at Cherish to be able to communicate and document everything going on on the grounds of Cherish to our US team. Each smartphone costs roughly £900
11) SECURITY PACKAGE! With £4,912 we could purchase solar panels, security lights, and security cameras to ensure safety at Cherish Uganda 24/7.
12) MONTHLY STAFF EVENTS! We believe it is important to invest in our staff members so that they can invest and care for those in need that walk through Cherish gates. We are hoping to raise £5,731 that we can use over the course of the year to show appreciation for our 45+ staff members.
