Story
Help Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity spread festive cheer to patients and staff this Christmas .
Christmas at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust will be a little different this year. But Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity want to make sure that our patients and staff still feel the festive spirit. Please help us to spread festive cheer to patients and staff despite the pandemic and donate to our Christmas Gift Appeal.
On average nearly 1,000 patients will spend Christmas Day in hospital being cared for by staff across the sites at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Whilst compassionate visiting is in place, visiting cannot take place as usual due to Covid-19 restrictions. Being away from friends and family at Christmas can be an isolating and upsetting experience but we want to make sure that Christmas is as happy and joyful as possible for our patients and ensure that Christmas cheer reaches across every inch of our hospitals.
A donation of £5 could sponsor a gift for a patient spending Christmas Day in hospital
Fighting the global pandemic has been an exhausting and emotional time for the staff of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. But our 6,000 strong team of heroes will continue to care for their patients through Christmas, on our COVID wards and across the trust.
The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has meant that we have had to think differently about how we can support our patients but also our staff. We still want to show our staff how much we appreciate their hard work and spread a little bit of festive cheer by delivering a parcel of sweet treats and thank you messages to all our wards and departments.
A donation of £20 could sponsor a festive delivery for our staff during Christmas week
(Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity has also appealed to local businesses for gifts in kind to make sure we definitely have enough for everyone!)
Thank you for your support.
