For some of the patients in The Kirkwood’s care, it may be their last Christmas. So, we will do everything in our power to make sure they are able to make the very most of every day. For patients being supported at home by The Kirkwood Nurses, we’ll be on hand to make sure they are comfortable and have everything in place to enjoy Christmas with their loved ones. For the patients and families being cared for in our hospice, we’ll do all we can to make them feel at home and comforted.
Whilst we can’t add days to life, we do everything we can to add life to days. This is never more important than at Christmas.
This Christmas, however, presents unique challenges. The rising cost of living and other economic pressures have put an immense strain on our resources. We’re facing a future where the need for our services is greater than ever, yet our ability to meet that need is being tested.
Put simply, without additional support, the future of our charity and the services we provide may look very different.
From pain management to emotional support, you’ll help us to offer the highest quality care. We’ll also use your donation to plan festive events that lift spirits and bring a smile to our patients and families.
With your help, we’ll make sure everyone in our care has the chance to enjoy special time with those they love. And for the patients and families facing their last Christmas together, your support will help us to be with them, and to hold their hand, every step of the way.
Every penny donated this Christmas will be used wisely and effectively. Your support will directly impact the lives of countless patients and families who are relying on us to be there for them. Whatever you choose to give, your gift will make this Christmas extra special for those in our care. And by donating to The Kirkwood, you’ll be part of a movement that makes a real difference for people right here in Kirklees.
