Story
We need help this Christmas, more than ever
The pandemic is having a direct impact on our ability to raise funds. It costs us nearly £500,000 a year to provide support in the community and to keep our day services running. But our usual Christmas fundraising activities are unable to go ahead. We cannot bag pack at M&S, hold our annual Christmas dinner, or run our Santa's Grotto.
How you could help
To mark our 35th year in a more positive light, we are asking our supporters to either raise or donate £35 to Headway Essex.
In the lead-up to Christmas 2020, we are inviting you to share your stories of how Headway Essex has helped you with the view to inspire and encourage people to donate.
We realise that times have been hard for many people this year, but if you can help, your campaign gift today will ensure Headway Essex's tomorrow.
If you're unable to donate, there are other ways you can help by fundraising, for example:
- Give something up during the campaign (coffee/tea/sugar, etc.) and donate the money saved
- Ask family and friends for donations to Headway Essex instead of Christmas presents
- Take on a walking/running/cycling challenge and raise sponsorship

A special keepsake from David Tennant
To show our appreciation, the first 250 people who raise £35 (or more) will receive a special thank you by way of a card signed by our Patron, David Tennant.
Please be aware that Headway Essex will not be able to send a signed David Tennant card to supporters who have not supplied a postal or email address during the donation process. If you have donated £35 or more anonymously or havent supplied your contact details, please get in touch by emailing fundraising@headwayessex.org.uk with your donation reference number, full name, and address.
