Story

On October 27th I will be taking part in the Ironman California triathlon in Sacramento in aid of Lawrence Nurses. I would greatly appreciate any support that you can offer. I will be swimming (2.4 miles), biking (112 miles) and running (26.2 miles). Lawrence Nurses provides people with free hospice care in their homes, allowing them to die with dignity, in peace and surrounded by loved ones. The charity was co-founded 25 years ago by my father, Dr Martin Lawrence, in the months before he died. Since then 1,392 patients have been given the gift of dying at home. Any contribution of any amount will help the Lawrence Nurses to continue providing this critical service.

Thank you so much for your support.

Local GP Dr. Martin Lawrence's dying wish was that patients in his practice should be able to die at home; his work was made reality through the work of District Nurse Jane Phillips MBE. The service has grown and now provides free hospice at home care covering five GP practices in Oxfordshire.
