Following a very successful community fundraising campaign, and financial support from the UK Government, local council, National Lottery and other charitable trusts, the new Chinley & Buxworth Community Centre is now under construction, with completion expected in February 2025.

We are now starting to look towards the facilities offered in the new building, and would like to invest in a number of additional resources which would significantly enhance the amenities available to local residents, including:

* a projector and screen for community film screenings and dementia-friendly activities;

* outdoor furniture for a scenic communal seating terrace overlooking the playing fields;

* refurbishing the outdoor courts for netball, tennis and football training;

* creating an upgraded Changing Places facility for individuals with complex needs and disabilities who cannot use standard accessible toilets.

These additional features will elevate the centre from a functional building to a thriving inclusive hub that caters to the needs of all generations.
