We are building a children's home for orphans, where they will grow up within the family context with care, nurture, guidance, dignity and discipline every child should have. The children will become adults with self-respect, confidence and a can do attitude, that will break the poverty cycle and they will be able to sustain and develop themselves to reach their full potential.

Most orphans are stigmatized as underclass, they do not have much opportunities made available to them, and they grow up without self-worth. For vulnerable children as orphans, many of them are ostracized, and mostly used as house helps in their relations/guardians homes, where some of them are subjected to all kinds of abuse. For orphans; self-esteem, values, goal setting, decision making, understanding boundaries, self-belief, problem solving and critical thinking are necessary life skills they lack due to the stigmatization they are subjected to.

The family home will provide the stability and security the children need, to help them realize their full potential and enable them to integrate into society and be independent. Their success will influence their peers by educating them to positively change the cultural mind sets of the people they interact with and their perception of orphans and how they should be treated.

We may have our own needs and think a little contribution won't make any difference - as individuals, we can't accomplish much, but when we team up with other people & organisations, we begin to see mountains move. Help us to support others.

Our aim is to complete the home by the summer of this year, and move the children into their home. The building will accommodate 160 -180 children with their own space, have their privacy, security and be part of the family unit.
