Story
The Charnwood Food Poverty Group is a coalition of 30+ local community organisations, working together to fight food poverty.
We believe that nobody should go hungry - through any circumstances. Therefore, we are working together to improve:
- Access to food provisions, ensuring food provisions are balanced and useful
- Quality and consistency of food provisions available
- Advocate for change and work together with agencies to provide food within a non-judgmental offer
They gave me two packs of food and I just cried. Sometimes it's the little things - Sue, Former The Bridge Client
Sadly, food poverty was already increasing prior to the pandemic. As many will know, COVID-19 has plunged more households into uncertainty than ever before, due to ill-health, sheilding, furlough, redundancy and more. We are continuing to work in COVID-secure ways to ensure food provisions are provided.
Every penny you donate will be crucial in helping us stamp out food poverty in Charnwood.
