Story
Take on 80 miles your way throughout this September for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Young cancer patients face an 80 mile round trip, on average, to get treatment. This isn't by choice. Many young cancer patients have to travel to specialist cancer centres to get the care they need, they can't just go to their local hospital.
Not only is this physically and emotionally exhausting, it comes it a huge financial cost too. It costs £250 a month when treatment is at its most intense. As treatment can go on for years, young people and families are often plunged into debt.
This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we're asking our supporters to take on Challenge80 and raise money to support young people with cancer.
You could run 80 miles throughout the month, complete an 80-mile bike ride, incorporate your miles into the daily dog walks, swim every day, or even hop, we don’t mind.
80 miles, 30 days, your way. Raising money for children and young people with cancer. Find out more here.
