Why?
Right now there are significant barriers preventing many children and young people from being physically active.
Research shows that:
Disabled people are twice as likely to be inactive as non-disabled people
Children & young people from the least affluent families are the least likely to be active
Children & young people from ethnically diverse communities are the least likely to be active
By the age of 16 or 17, 64% of girls will have quit sport
Less than half of all children and young people are meeting the Chief Medical Officer guidelines of taking part in sport and physical activity for an average of 60 minutes or more a day. With your support, we are determined to change this.
We are scaling-up to support more young people than ever before. With your help we want 15,000 disabled and disadvantaged young people to access the life-changing benefits of sport and physical activity. To do this we need to raise £2m.
We can't do this without your support
All funds raised will go towards our vital work ensuring that more young people can access the benefits of sport and physically activity.
