Story

The Country Food Trust provide high protein based meals to those suffering food insecurity.

Protein is the most important food group for optimal physical and mental well being. Unfortunately, it is also the most expensive food group, which is why it is the first that is reduced or dropped entirely.

The Country Food Trust are the primary national charity that focuses upon this food group, to help those in need access this essential nutrient.

We provide protein in two ways: Raw, to community kitchens and foodbanks that have access to refrigeration, or ambient meals. These are wet meals that have been pressure cooked in special pouches enabling a 12 month store cupboard life from date of manufacture. Ideal for foodbanks that have no refrigeration and for end users and their families for a quick easily heated meal.
