Story
5 children are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK, that's 150 children during this September alone and 1,800 new cases every year.
We're asking you to take on our 5 a day challenge to show your support!
Why not cycle 5 miles a day? 150 miles throughout the month? or maybe even 150 miles in one go!?
Cancer is the leading cause of death in children in the UK, and while survival rates are increasing, so are long term ill health side effects from the cancer itself and/or it's treatments.
Exercise and activity have been proven to be the single most effective way of improving physical and mental wellness for people surviving cancer and what better way for children than cycling; it is low impact, outdoor, sociable and fun!
We help 700 children every year, children just like 8 year old Coco who has been diagnosed with leukaemia;
This has just been the most wonderful gift. It has made such a difference not only to her confidence by regaining a sense of independence and strength after time in a wheelchair, but also to us as a family, enabling quality time on our bikes to become something that we all look forward to. Thankyou so much
Every penny of your fundraising will go towards buying new bikes and trikes for children just like Coco, so we are hugely grateful for your support.
You can read more about CFC, what we do and why in our 2023 Impact Report.
Thank you.
