Story
The Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation (HBCF) is a locally based not-for-profit that is an entirely funded by the local community. Thanks to the local support of the Hunter, HBCF provides essential services to families as they journey through breast cancer. These services include everything from a wig library, private transport, cleaning and lawn maintenance, exercise programs, education scholarships, support groups and much more.
Our clients are local Hunter families who are currently going through treatment for Breast and Ovarian Cancer. The Newcastle community has rallied around HBCF and run fun and successful community fundraisers for over 20 years to fund these programs. However when COVID-19 hit, these all stopped. The need for breast cancer support only grew. We now have more family requesting support than ever before.
We need your help!
During the month of July 2021 , HBCF provided 338 support services to Hunter families battling breast cancer, this cost over $30,000. All funds raised go in and straight back out again. Every little bit counts.
Why not dedicate your next celebration to supporting local families through breast cancer.
You can easily create a page and share the link with your family and friends to donate in lieu of gifts for a birthday, engagement, wedding or any special event you choose.
