Five Robotics teams from Covington Catholic High School have qualified for the VEX Robotics World Tournament in Dallas, TX in May, 2022, based on their results at the recent Kentucky VEX Robotics State Tournament, including a first place finish by CovCath team The Housecats. The Housecats (Ethan Conrad, Thomas Frondorf, Ben Scheffter, and Grant Fischer) took down the number 16 and number 22 ranked teams in the world!
We are blessed to have five teams (21 students) qualify for the trip to Dallas: Jason Hackman, Zach Smith, Jonah Ikeda, Jack Hovan, Nate Hammond, Ethan Conrad, Grant Fischer, Thomas Frondorf, Ben Scheffter, Brent Young, Max Gerwe, Nick Clark, Dominic Gates, Hayden Bishop, Jackson Chamblee, Michael Zechella, Will Thomas, Luke Darpel, John Gribben, Jacob Thomas, and Nic Blanchet.
The trip will be costly, estimated at $1000 per student/coach. We are asking the Covington Catholic community for support. Your donation will go directly to the program and help cover costs for our students which in turn, provides financial relief for parents who wish to travel to Dallas to support their son as he competes on the World stage.
Thank you for considering a donation to these talented young men and our amazing coaches as they make history for Covington Catholic. Go Colonels!
