Story
In March of 2023, the Covington Catholic High School Chamber Choir will perform in world-famous Carnegie Hall in New York City. Along with several other high schools and universities, the Chamber Choir will sing a series of famous choral selections with Dr. Jefferson Johnson from the University of Kentucky. It is a dream for many musicians to perform at Carnegie Hall, and we are thrilled to work with Manhattan Concert Productions to put together a truly memorable experience for our young singers. Along with the soundcheck and performance in Carnegie Hall, the students will also see a Broadway show and will help provide music for Mass in one of New York City's preeminent cathedrals.
We are blessed to be able to include all twenty of our Chamber Choir singers for this trip: Aiden Brueggemann, Zachary Busch, Thomas Cahill, Christopher Chun, Michael Cody, Ben Daniels, Mitchell Davey, Mack David, Colin Esmeier, Louie Hodge, Max Lawrie, Nathan Lind, Michael Nerswick, Ty Rottinghaus, Ty Shelton, Nick Thapar, Mack Tierney, Jayden Trimble, and Chris Young.
The total cost is approximately $1,700 for each student and chaperone. We are asking our Covington Catholic community for assistance in reaching our fundraising goals. Any money donated will go directly to covering the expenses for this once-in-a-lifetime musical opportunity for our singers. Thank you for your generosity!
