As part of our leadership training, CCC teaches our LDP teens how to identify prospective donors in their networks, create a solicitation pitch based on the lessons and experiences they’ve had with CCC, and participate in a teen-led fundraiser.
CCC is a dual mission nonprofit organization that empowers young Jewish teens to be community leaders by teaching them leadership skills and offering them hands-on opportunities to get out into the community and make a difference.
By volunteering at our community-building programs, teens connect with children experiencing hardship by facilitating group activities as well as through one-on-one interactions; these unique experiences break down barriers and ultimately help create a connected community.
About LDP
CCC’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) engages Jewish teens in grades 8–12 in meaningful and interactive community service, supporting thousands of children and families each year. We teach critical leadership skills and empower hundreds of teens to become engaged community leaders and volunteers. CCC is committed to being an inclusive organization that represents diverse Jewish teens across Atlanta.
What do teens learn in LDP?
Our LDP curriculum is designed to help Jewish teens discover their own answers and ideas about a series of essential questions that lead to a true understanding of leadership. As teens proceed through an up to four-year-long experiential curriculum, these questions build upon each other to instill a thoughtful and layered understanding of their own identity as future community leaders and Jewish young adults.
As part of the training in LDP, we teach teens how to identify prospective donors in their networks, create a solicitation pitch based on the lessons and experiences they’ve had with CCC, and participate in a fundraiser they lead themselves. They learn about the power of a matching grant and how to weave it into their pitches to reach their fundraising goals.
“I love CCC because it is very rewarding to have the opportunity to give back to my community in a positive way and help less fortunate communities in Atlanta overcome hardship.” - LDP Teen
