Story
As children and families return to our libraries, we are looking forward to expanding our virtual and in-person opportunities. Proceeds from our 2022 event will support the creation of an exciting new Maker Space at Main Library. This communal, creative space will be located in a repurposed room adjacent to our Teen Loft.
Our Maker Space will offer educational opportunities that encouraged play and exploration. It will include our 3D printer and virtual reality system, coding and robotics equipment, STEM materials and much more. It will evolve over time but always remain a place for our city youth to gather to share ideas, create content with library resources, and interpret their role in our changing world.
While our actual event takes place on May 19, 2022 at Saucony Creek Franklin Station, contributions are encouraged in advance. Help us reach our goal by visiting one of our celebrity's pages and learn about what draws them to support the library!
