Story
Times are tough for all of us right now, but especially so for families living with cancer. People going through cancer diagnosis and treatment often experience a lot of anxiety and fear, even at the best of times, and at the moment this is so much worse. Cancer treatments are being altered and even postponed, and social distancing can leave people feeling isolated and lonely. Our support is more important than ever.
We are still here for the families that need us, providing counselling and other therapies via phone and video calling. Our Young People's Service continues to support children who are coming to terms with a diagnosis in their family and we have a well-established peer support scheme, Cavendish Cancer Buddies.
BUT, none of this is possible without the help and generosity of you, our amazing supporters. We depend almost entirely on donations to fund our work and we have been deeply affected by the cancellation and postponement of public events. Please give generously to show local families that you are by their side and they dont have to go through this alone.
