Story
2022 has brought triumphs and challenges for The Sheffield Cats Shelter and as we head towards 2023 we, and our cats, need your help and support more than ever.
This year has marked our 125th anniversary. We've been helping cats and kittens in need find new homes and better lives since 1897, and in that time we've helped tens of thousands of cats.
This year we have faced an unprecedented demand for our services - and increased reports of cats and kittens being abandoned. Kittens like Bourbon and Dodger in the picture above, who were abandoned in a box by the side of the road aged just 5 days old! Their story had a happy ending, but it could have been very different. We took Bourbon and Dodger, and their mother Wendy in, nursed them, loved them and eventually found them a forever home. All of that takes time, dedication and money - but we think it's worth every penny.
Every donation made to The Sheffield Cats Shelter, however big or small, will help us reach our festive target of £5000. Our energy costs and running costs are rising sharply but with your help we can always be there for cats in need - and we will always keep our pledge: we never put a healthy cat to sleep, and we never give up on a cat. Your donation will help us find new homes for cats in need this Christmas - and beyond. Thank you!
