❤️ Donate today or start your own fundraising page to inspire others. It's easy, and every dollar raised gives hope to a child in foster care through the gift of advocacy.
Did you know that each year, more than 390,000 children in the US are in the dependency court and foster care systems because of experiencing abuse or neglect? A child in foster care, on average, will move into multiple homes and attend multiple schools. These inconsistencies can have long-term traumatic effects on children and youth.
CASA for Children strives to improve outcomes for children in foster care by recruiting, training, and supporting community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse and neglect. As Oregon’s largest and longest serving CASA organization, we support Multnomah, Washington, Columbia, and Tillamook Counties and almost one quarter of Oregon's foster youth.
Every year, CASA for Children supports nearly 500 CASAs in their advocacy for over 900 youth. CASA volunteers help meet the children’s most pressing needs - safety, shelter, healthcare, counseling, and educational support - allowing them to move more effectively through the foster care system to a permanent home.
