This year, Carterrai is taking on an incredible challenge—climbing Mount Snowdon—to raise vital funds for Phoenix Charity. Phoenix has been a beacon of hope and support for the vulnerable in our community, and your support will help them continue their life-changing work.

In the past year, Phoenix has made a huge impact by launching a charity shop in the heart of Hertford. It’s not just a shop; it’s a lifeline. One beneficiary described it as “an oasis in the desert,” offering a safe space where people can find comfort, connection, and tailored support.

One of the incredible ways Phoenix has made a difference is by supporting homeless individuals in our community who are battling addiction and have nowhere else to turn. Through their compassionate work, Phoenix has helped people access housing, vital support services, and even advocate for essential needs.

For example, when one individual couldn’t afford to take their beloved dog to the vet, Phoenix stepped in. They not only organised free veterinary care but personally accompanied the person to ensure both they and their pet were looked after. These are the kinds of life-changing interventions Phoenix provides every day.

Many who visit the shop are isolated and struggling. For them, it’s more than a shop—it’s a sanctuary where they can ask for help. Phoenix listens and creates personalised support plans, treating each person as an individual and tailoring solutions to meet their unique needs.

But there’s so much more work to be done. The funds raised through Carterrai's Snowdon climb will directly support Phoenix’s growing homeless project. This project will offer one-to-one support, housing assistance, advocacy, and whatever else is needed to give people a real chance at rebuilding their lives.
