Story
Thrill-seeking participants have volunteered to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower, whilst raising some pennies to support initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of our NHS colleagues.
It is Brighterway's mission to support our colleagues, by supporting their health and wellbeing, they are playing their part in enabling the delivery of high quality care of our patients.
Please support our Team to support Brighterway.
A message from Carolyn:-
Thank you for visiting my Justiving Page. I have abseiled before in 2000 when slightly psychotic I descended down the Derby University building. I was terrified at the time caught up as I was in spiritual consequences. I did it but I can’t say it was enjoyable. Now things are a lot more stable and whilst looking forward to the abseil I am also quite nervous about that first step out onto the starting platform of the Spinnaker Tower. If you are going to sponsor me thank you very much, it is much appreciated. The Brighterway Charity at Southern Health support lots of important projects for staff and patients. At the Research team I applied for grant funding to acquire some recycled plastic benches for lunchtime outside of our department in the gardens. This is a great place to be on a fine day and good for our mental wellbeing. So me and my colleagues were keen to repay some of the generosity shown by Brighterway by descending the Spinnaker Tower.
