Story
This year, instead of sending Christmas Cards, we are asking supporters to make a donation to Blackpool Carers.
You will help to make a better life for local carers this Christmas and beyond and be a part of our environmental efforts too by saving trees.
Your kind donation will provide a programme of respite activities for our carers aged for 5 to 95 and give them a well-deserved break and create happy memories. Carers provide help and support to a family member or friend, who could not manage without their help. This could be due to age, frailty, physical or mental ill health, substance misuse or disability.
Our service is often a lifeline for many carers who would otherwise feel isolated and unable to cope. Youth Clubs, training sessions, activity clubs, day trips and support groups are all valuable resources which give our carers that lifeline they need to relieve the pressure of coping with a caring role. As one of our adult carers put it this summer "When we come here we laugh lots, which is great because we don't at home".
