The annual Can the Bods competition has been supporting Corky's Cupboard for the past several years. This competition aims to bring students, faculty, alumni, and the greater Emporia community together to not only defeat Washburn University, but also to alleviate food insecurity on and off-campus. Associated Student Government and Corky's Cupboard sponsor the Can the Bods competition.
Corky's Cupboard has expanded over the past year and is in need of many items. Such items include proteins (peanut butter, beans, canned chicken/tuna/ham), fruits and vegetables, grains (pasta, rice, cereal, noodles, oatmeal), meals and mixes (soups, hamburger helper, instant meals), and baking supplies (cooking oil, flour, baking soda, baking powder, spices, sauces, baking mixes). Your gifts will go towards buying items to further stock Corky's Cupboard.
Can the Bods is more than a competition; it's a movement. Food insecurity is a widespread issue that affects our own communities, friends, and families. By uniting this fall to collect donations for Corky's Cupboard, we can ensure this important basic need is met for all. Any support, whether it be donating food items to campus, making your gift here, or spreading the word on Can the Bods is greatly appreciated.
Together, we can CAN the Bods!
Thank you,
