Christmas is at the heart of Canterbury Cathedral's calendar and we treasure the services and events that allow us to share the joy of the season. Sadly, Covid-19 restrictions mean that many of our services are not going to be practicable in the usual form this year.
However, we are committed to sharing our Christmas celebrations online with streamed services and pre-recorded events that everyone can enjoy.
The Cathedral has lost over £3million due to Covid-19. It has been a challenging year for everyone, and connecting online has never been more important. The cost of producing our festive content, and welcoming people everywhere to a Canterbury Christmas, is £15,000.
