Story
In 2016, Cambridge Rare Disease Network created a small dance group of 4 children, each with a different rare condition, to develop a dazzling performance for a local charity ball. And dazzle they did! The group represents the powerful bond that acceptance and friendship bring to these unique individuals who have their rarity in common and how teamwork, determination and creativity can create beautiful dancers.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here, we should dance....
Since Unique Feet's humble beginnings, they and their families have enjoyed lots of fun and activities together, from yoga and horse-riding to parties and trips to the seaside and they've warmly welcomed another 6 families into their team.
On 30 November 2018 all 10 children will be preparing to dazzle once again when they take to the stage at RAREfest18 , an exciting science, technology and arts festival hosted by CRDN . The group has a unique opportunity to work with an artist from multi award-winning British dance company Studio Wayne McGregor to create their dance performance.
understanding how your body communicates things without language is a powerful tool to be able to start to communicate better or differently....there's nothing more special than being able to be lost in dance (Wayne McGregor)
Can you help Unique Feet realise their dream to reach for the stars by contributing towards their project and help raise funds for this group and our other projects to blossom into the future?
