Maria and her family had to flee their home because of the conflict in Ukraine.
Winter in Ukraine can be as cold as -20C - the situation looked bleak. “We realised we wouldn’t be able to afford firewood,” said Maria.
Our local Church partner gave Maria and her family the help they needed – firewood. They could heat their home, cook hot meals and keep warm through the freezing temperatures.
