Cader Idris Walk Challenge
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the Welsh countryside as you conquer the majestic Cader Idris. This challenging hike is a test of endurance and a chance to support our charity’s initiatives. Together, we can climb mountains for a cause.
The Route: The ISRA-UK team will take The Pony Path, a famous 10km (6 miles) route on the Dolgellau side of Cader, taking approximately 5 hours for a round trip. Starting from the Tŷ Nant car park, it involves a steep climb with steps at various points. The path offers stunning views over the Mawddach estuary towards Barmouth and, upon reaching the ridge over Llyn y Gader, vistas towards Bala and over the lake. The route continues up a steep path to Penygadair and concludes with a scramble up to the trig point.
Take the challenge to fundraise for ISRA-UK. The minimum sponsorship is £300, and a joining fee of £10. All are welcome to join, but adults must accompany those under 16.
