Children of Watamu Happy House is raising £25,000 to buy a newer bus to replace the 20 year old model which is used to bring kids, mostly on free place scholarships, into our school. The old bus is safe but a constant drain on resources.
While mechanically it is safe, as we always have the repairs done immediately, the 20 year old bus is a constant drain on resources and we need to buy a newer bus to replace it.
The bus is used to transport children into Happy House School from outlying areas. Most of these are on free place scholarships - kids who would not have any hope of an education without our help.
At Happy House they have opportunity, are given aspirations, and have a real chance of breaking the cycle of poverty into which they were born.
We would like to raise £25,000 to enable us to buy a good, strong and more up-to- date vehicle.
Anything you can donate will be a huge help. Thank you.

Children of Watamu has, since 2000, been transforming children's lives. The Happy House, opened in 2010, is home and family to up to 100 children-orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected.
We have added a high-achieving kindergarten and primary school and junior secondary school.
