Story

Bury Cancer Support Centre has been serving cancer patients, families and their carers at all stages of their cancer journey for the last 17 years.

As a self-funding charity, with no support from government or any other agency, we have covered our operating costs (currently circa £200K p.a.) by year-round funding events and generous donations from supporters of our Centre.

Our operations and fund-raising initiatives have been seriously disrupted by the unprecedented Coronavirus pandemic which has virtually brought normal life to a standstill.

More than ever at times like these our patients need support. Though we have temporarily closed our building and suspended direct contact/treatment. Our staff are still telephoning patients, providing support, counselling, advice and delivering on-line counselling and support services.

Clearly, the postponement of a raft of fundraising events leaves us in a very precarious financial position in continuing to deliver the critical service to the most vulnerable in our community.

This appeal is to ask if you could support us either by way of a one-off donation to the Centre or by a regular payment.

If you are able to help, please contact us on 0161 764 6609 or email appeals@burycancersupportcentre.com

Thank you once again on behalf of all patients, staff, volunteers and trustees.
