The hospital is seeing a high volume of patients with complex care needs and COVID-19 has proven that we need more space in our hospital, as on most days, QCH operates at or beyond capacity.
Each day hundreds of patients turn to the QCH Emergency Department for urgent care. Some of those who require admission to the hospital will wait for hours, and in some cases overnight, on a stretcher in the hallway until a bed in an inpatient unit becomes available.
By Building Space Between the Walls, we are creating a comfortable, modern, fully-equipped space for 15 bed bays. The new area will be serviced with a nursing station and medication room and be located close to the Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging Department and Operating Rooms to improve patient flow for fast, efficient, and integrated care.
With no government funding available for this important project, we need YOUR help to fund the renovations. Every donation made to the online fundraising page will be matched by Yorkville Asset Management, up to $25,000.
