Story
Change the story for young people. Please support us.
Due to COVID-19 the young people we support are facing a crisis
...in education
...in employment prospects
...in acquiring the skills and capabilities they need for their future
Young people are facing the double whammy of disrupted education and a tough labour market. This is extremely worrying given the extensive evidence that being unemployed when you are young can have lasting impacts in later life, including a higher risk of unemployment, lower pay, poorer mental health, and diminished life chances.
Our programme to give young people the employability and life skills they need to fulfil their potential is even more vital.
How we help
88% young people that take part in our programme tell us they feel more positive about their future prospects post-education. Hear from some of our beneficiaries about the impact we have had on them and their lives.
3 ways you can help
Please support #BridgeTheGap2021 so we can continue to deliver our free employability and life skills programme and give young people a fair chance in life post-education.
1) Donate now - we are grateful for donations of all sizes.
2) Take part in our Tamar to Tyne Bridge Challenge between 1st March - 30th April and get sponsored to run, cycle or walk the 571km distance between the bridges - either as a team of four or 100 km+ if you take part as an individual.
