We have responded to a request from local surgeons to develop and deliver a series of educational workshops covering the hand curriculum. To date, courses on hand and wrist trauma and nerve injury have been well received by a large number of local plastic and orthopaedic surgeons. The long term goal is to support the development of a Sudanese Society for Surgery of the Hand bringing together the currently separate and generalist groups of plastic and orthopaedic surgeons.
